The Sevens - An NFT Project worth waiting for.
Rarely do I write articles about upcoming NFT projects. It’s like a flea market right now, with tons of new projects launching daily - without clear roadmaps, atrocious artwork and frankly just looking for a ‘money grab’.
In my last article I wrote about a-now launched NFT project built on Solana - Degen Ape Academy and it’s potential to do well. Since launch the floor price is currently between 6/7x from mint prices, with prices increasing everyday.
In this article I talk about another such project that I believe will excel -
The Sevens.
The Sevens is a collection of 7000 algorithmically generated pieces of art with references from pop culture, anime, games, memes and movies. The collection focuses on street-wear such as shirts, hoodies, headpieces and more.
Launch date: September 7th, 7pm UTC
Cost to mint: 0.07 ETH

The Story
A dystopian future in 2077. After a huge global collapse, our counterculture is finding salvation in a digital universe: the metaverse powered by the Ethereum blockchain. There’s unlimited time for movies, games, comic books and music. While out there, the world is burning.
For generations, we have been living vicariously via our virtual selves, escaping from the physical, chaotic world, reigned by corrupt governments.
Hidden in the metaverse lie immense treasures. Sacrifices have to be made to find these treasures and many generations have already failed and were burned alive. We are the seventh generation (known as “The Sevens”) and we’re more powerful than ever. Will we finally be able to find the greatest treasure and gain back control over the physical world? Throughout history ‘7’ has been considered the lucky number in many cultures. Can we, The Sevens, keep the prophecy, and ourselves, alive?
Visually speaking, the art-work is stunning. Many NFT projects currently have good art but a lot of them are very similar looking with only slight variations. In the case of The Sevens - it seems as though each piece will be unique and have more than one distinguishing factor. The colours and aesthetics are clean and visually appealing. The closest comparison for a project that is already out would be 0n1Force with a side-profile type set-up.
Project Roadmap (Key Highlights)
Q4 2021
The Sevens rarity data will be added to Rarity.tools as well as Rarity Sniper.
Launch of the Sevens online shop for clothes, masks and accessories.
Q1 2022
Season 2 launch. Season 1 holders will have priority minting (amount TBC) as well as active community members.
The Sevens to launch an incubation program working with artists that have a passion for making unique art pieces and fashion attributes. The community treasury will help fund future projects chosen by our community.
Q2 2022
Development and release of The Sevens DAO with $SEVEN token airdropped to all hodlers proportionally.
Launch of Season 3.
The Sevens collection will now be deflationary through a unique mutation mechanism.
Looking at the roadmap it’s clear that the team has thought about providing value to NFT holders - not only by having access to future mints but also with the release of The Sevens DAO. This sort of ecosystem creates value and more importantly creates longer term HODLers. Secondly, the deflationary aspect mentioned in the road map excites me as this may allow multiple NFTs to be burned to create a superior or ‘mutated’ NFT (although speculative at this point in time).
My thoughts
When considering investing into a NFT project I always look first at the art, secondly at the roadmap and thirdly and sometimes most importantly, whether there’s a community that is being built. The Seven encompasses all aspects excellently. Their twitter following is already past 10k. We still have around 11 days till mint and I suspect this may double by then. Having been on the discord I can say that the team manages it really well - with daily giveaways in order and a lot of community engagement. People are genuinely excited to be a part of the project and are looking forward to mint.
What I also really like is the lower mint count (7000) than most projects. Of course this ties in with the concept of ‘sevens’ but ultimately it provides a form of scarcity which only helps drive value to the NFT.
With regards to collabs, I think the project can really excel in this field. With the way the art is designed there is space to feature branding in future releases together with merchandising. I would like to do a special shout out to the artist for this project known as Janz - his work is quite unique and of a very high calibre. Scrolling through his twitter one can see he’s done some fan work collabs with 0n1Force and even some one-off artworks.
Overall, I am very excited for the launch of The Sevens and truly believe it could be a blue-chip NFT project. Mark your calendars for the 7th!
